picked up a set of Rogers bongos last night with a nice tilting stand for $40!

i met up with the seller in the parking lot right before Planet Jazz's gig last night. we did the deed, i brought 'em into the club..... got to play 'em on two songs while the bassplayer was soloing....but i had 'em set up right off of Monty our drummer, so he was incorporating them into his playing thru the night. Big fun!

Isn't that the retail price for the stand by itself? Good score. Didja get the guy to stick around for the show too?

If the label is a stick on they are not real Rogers.

At first I thought it was gold plated metal badge.... but is in fact a very thick sticker.

Jook, I don't get your reference to the Jazzmaster.

These days when I think Jazzmaster I think surf or indie music.

They're pretty cool gtrs and did find a bit of a niche but ya gotta wonder what Leo was thinking when he thought that gtr would appeal to jazzers.
