Mystery Elkhart Clarinet??

I just got a clarinet from an antique store for $30 because it's only $30 you know? :) On the clarinet it says "The Pedler Co. ELKHART IND." and the body as well as the bell has the serial number E25478. My question is do any of you know how old this is and if it's in working condition a value? Thank you

I prefer French made clarinets, and they have to be constructed of ebony wood.. what name is on the bell? :)

The bells says The Pedler Co. Elkhart Ind.

The Harry Pedler Company passed to Martin Band Instrument Co. in 1930 when Harry Pedler retired. Martin used the name until 1936 when they began to use the name The Pedler Co. instead.
