picked up a pretty good deal on a Global electric guitar inside a pristine Squier hardshell case with a guitar stand a Realistic dynamic JAPAN MADE A suffix not C-suffixNOT mexican microphone, a sheet music stand for 75 dollars.. the way I understand it there are Japanese made Global guitars and then a cheaper more cheaply made Chinese version using or robbing the name Global.. anyhow I see a Model ST80S on the back and find Tokai also made a Model ST80S guitar.this guitar after I set intonation and string height and R&R strings sounds like and plays as good as some $700.00 strat cops I've played at pawn shops and music stores, sure would be nice if I could tag it as a Tokai constructed guitar..to get better money out of it.. thinking of 150.00 for guitar & case.. guitar stand for 12.00, mic for 15-20, sheet music stand 10-15 :| oh, I forgot the Radio Shack mic stand too.. maybe get 15 out of it..

From what I can research a Tokai ST80 would have a 2-piece body with nitro finish, 'butterfly' string trees on the headstock, but this might notbe true for the Global-branded guitars, which might have been sold by Sears in the 60s?
