My female vocalist and I are looking to start an oldies/motown /classic rock, fulnk cover band with a possible touch of current hits. (All of the stuff that people love but isn't played very much anymore) Looking for male vocalist to share lead / backup vocals and as well as other players who are down to earth and level headed who would rather work more on the music and less on the attitudes of the other band members. We want to practice and perform and have a good time doing both. We feel a band should be a family where everyone has input instead of a group of musicians ran by one. Our performance history includes casinos, community events, car/motorcycle events, private parties, charity fund raisers and clubs. Please don't perceive this post as arrogant, we just want to be honest about what we are looking for and don't want to waste anyone's time.

Good luck in your search! As not a lot of people come to these forums, your best bet is to use the 'search' feature in the profiles - look in your area by zip code. I'd also recommend getting some audio/video samples on your profile, these days people like to 'pre-audition' others.
