You were born 50 years too late, Schmeddy. :D
But you aren't pretentious so it doesn't seem to be an accurate description. :P

How about this?

So, I should have been born in 1924?

Been sitting on this one for a few months. I met this youngster on the Ween Appreciation Society on Fakebook. He solicited critiques on this track that had some potential, but it sounded like a Michael Jackson backing track to be honest. I told him I liked it and asked if I could add something to it. He said yes, so I went about adding lead guitar and synth parts. The synth stuff didn't work, but some of the guitar stuff was dynamite, imho.

I couldn't make it work with the original song structure, though. so I asked him if I could chop it up and reform it into something different. He said go for it, so here we are. I really wanted to add some fake scratchin over it, but you know me, no time.

Yet another new one. Switched instruments with the drummer. He's such a natural on guitar (almost makes up for my horrendous drumming  ). He showcases the practicality of the Little Thunder pickup better than I do, and I've been playing about 8 times longer than him probably.

Practice your drumming chops. (I don't)

If you don't practice your drums, I won't either! :P

Not enough time to cover all the bases right now. I'm retiring next Fri. Maybe I'll have time to work on my drum chops as well? I hope so. I'm right on the edge of being a decent drummer. A few months of steady playing and I think I could pass the test.

Congrats on the retirement.

Any other critiques? I knew my drums sucked going in, but I posted it on the strength of Kev's guitar work. I'm going to be relying on him to keep our playlist sounding fresh with new ideas. In other words......

WE ARE READY!

Thanks, Schmeddy.
Critique? Only one thing. You need a bass player. Unison bass lines suck.
I know you probably bought that PU out of expedience but it will never replace a real bass player.
I'm in the same predicament here. I can't find a really good bass player.
I'm think about hooking up w/ Mike as a rhythm unit and finding guitarists that need a bus driver.
Guitarists are so much easier to find.

Can't find a good bass player because there are none!

I know it's a downgrade to have stuff in unison, but that's why I've been making a mockery of myself for 5 years trying to learn that one man mariachi style of bass line accompanying the chords. Kevin is a noob, so he doesn't know techniques like that. The way I see it, my last 3 uploads are good because they have drums plus at least 2 other instruments weaving a nice plaid pastiche of a little something the native Americans call Mel O Dee and Har Moe Knee.
