Musician Forum - Band Discussion Board - BandMix

Merge, the young adults program at Christ Church AG is hosting Merge Amplified. This is a music competition for bands and solo acts, instrumental and/or vocals. 2nd place prize is $200. 1st place prize is $500. This is will be held on the campus of Christ Church AG, but secular artists are welcome. We just ask that participants be respectful of the venue in their musical selections. 500 bucks...
I took my Mrs. out for dinner this evening - 2 margaritas, a glass of wine and two vegetable fajitas - 70 bucks. The effort to drive out, setup, play, tear down and maybe get 500 bucks for playing what... 3 songs? 10 songs? split 4 ways... not so much.
