Filed for my refunds a couple of weeks ago. My music income last year was cash under the table, otherwise I wouldn't be getting anything. Damn thing is that I just put almost as much repair money into my truck as will be coming back from state and fed refunds - and I've got more repairs happening this weekend. 170K miles, 8 year old truck ...

Good to know I'm not the only one driving a relic (99 Gr Cher, 125K miles)--must be a reflection of how poorly we're compensated for our efforts. Got the taxes sittin' in front of me; won't get anything back, but won't need to pay, either. Still a PITA, tho.

Filed mine 3 weeks ago and had to pay some more money
For the inquiring minds, yes I paid taxes on my gig money. Hence the reason I bought a new amp, being proactive for 2016's tax bill.

I'm doing Great Bob just got a new amp Marshall jvm215c (combo amp) and loving it for all styles of music, hands down best amp I've owned! Went to audition for another band last night. This band gigs a LOT! The guys I have been playing with for the last 1.5 years keep blocking potential gig dates out. I need to work so going to play with this new band. Can't say more than that now. Folks haven't been notified yet and you know how band politics are.
