Looking for bluegrass/gospel players

My wife and I are looking for some mature, committed Christian musicians for a Gospel/Bluegrass/Folk/Country group in the Georgetown/Temple/Belton/Killeen/Austin area. My wife and I have been studio/touring musicians for almost 50 years, and have been purely gospel for the last 35. We're serious, and would appreciate any equally serious musicians to form a group ala Union Station/Newgrass Revival.

Need mandolin, banjo, bass at the minimum, dobro if possible, another acoustic guitar, fiddle. Need to have a good ear, since some of my vocal arrangements call for uncommon voicings. Above all, must have a sense of humor coupled with a burning desire to excel in sound, and spread the Gospel.

Any takers?

Sorry, but no one comes to this forum looking for classified ads and the thread gets buried as soon as you start it. You need to go to your profile and search for certain instruments, genres and so on in a 10 - 25 mile radius from your zip code. Good luck!

Been doing that. Seems like those who fit the bill are not staying active. I've upgraded so I could send messages, but I seriously wonder if BM is actually notifying them, since there have been NO replies. Beginning to think BM is not worth it.

Did you check to see the last time those members viewed their account? Could be weeks, months, years.....

Perhaps a reset of expectations would be in order. Everything Schmed says is accurate, and I would add that if folks don't reply, it could be for any number of reasons (some more obvious than others). As to whether the upgrade is worth the fee, dunno--never did it myself. I figure if folks don't list some form of contact (email, phone) on their page, they don't want to be contacted. Sorta like when you meet a hot babe who doesn't give you her phone number. Now if that hot babe will give you her number if you pay her, well...

FWIW.
