I threw out all my rock albums in the early 90s...but I kept my soul collection.

I've got several original 78s from the Big Band era with Harry James (who was from the same street my family lived on in Beaumont TX)

Do you know why albums are called that?

It used to be that only one song was put on a side, but someone decided to put 4 or 5 of these together and it looked like a big photo album. I've got a few of those, including Bing Crosby.

Most of my vinyl collection are indie bands from the 70s and 80s. I've got the three Pantera indie-releases from back when they were a glam band.

And I've got a lot of original 45s from the 60s and 70s, including a lot of Elvis and the Beatles

.

I got out of vinyl for years, but now I'm back into it. Mostly because that's how my favorite bands put out a lot of stuff. I'd happily stick with CDs recorded to tapes, to tell the truth. Once I get these records taped, I'm gonna give them thousands of listens before I ever spin the vinyl again.

Thanks, but I'm all about cassettes.
As long as I can find blank tapes and players that work.

I sold all my vinyl to a record store dealer in Raleigh, cause I could barely get all my essentials in that tiny Isuzu pickup I owned at the time..whenever I went to Ryder to see about rental rates, I always wound up telling them, "I don't want to buy it, I want to rent it"

Schmed I have three cassette decks over here that are no longer in use. Come and get 'em!

Anything worth shipping? If not, I bet I could get a Tapehead to take them off your hands.

I've got about 250 vinyl albums. Had about 400 and a former roommate ripped me off, taking a few at a time and selling them to his little sister for a couple of bucks each! Bastard owns a used record store now - I wonder if some of my albums are still there?
I've got a plastic bin of old cassettes - mostly 90 minute ones with albums, live shows or 'party mixes' on them - sitting in the basement. Don't know why I'm holding onto them.
