NEED SOMETHING FRESH TO LISTEN TOO

So this post is pretty self explanatory, but I am running low on fresh new albums/tracks to listen too. Everything's sort of sounding the same (as I'm writing this I'm listening to the album "The Temper Trap" by The Temper Trap).

I want a sound that I've never heard before. I know it's probably hard to suggest one if you don't know what I listen too, but I'm curious to hear your favorite most "out there" albums.

Actually!

Feel free to check out my Spotify playlist's if you want to hear some of my favorite, most recent, musical digs.

Yep, either that or you have to be a 'friend' on Spotify, which means having the person's FB or email info.

Probity's music is sonically mesmerizing and the eclectic lyrics always have a profound statement. In my opinion he is a true modern day Beatnik legend.

on spotify, i've been burning up an album called "Around" by Karl Berger

youtube tune here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9crehD0HM3U

another album i'm digging is by Sylvain LeRoux that features K Bergen called "Quatuor Creole".

and my latest spotify discovery is Zoe Muth. she's a singer songwriter from Seattle. kinda like John Prine meets Emmy Lou Harris meets Lucinda Williams.....great straight ahead old time country stuff (why doesn't CURRENT country sound like this??!?!?!!)

she's got a lot of vids up on you tube.

coming back to reality, try this on..
the best bass player in the universe, better than Jaco, better than S. Clarke

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-qkUvAD508

check out Abraham's bass playing from 4:06 to 6:08
especially good at 4:49 to 6:08

another good track:

the sounds Abe Laboriel gets out of the bass is amazing.. banjo rolls are phenomenal.. snare drum sounds from a bass guitar is like magic.. Ritenour looks to be amazed while trying to play along at times.. his face says this guy is a genius
