Remember when in the "old" (70s) band days, tuning was "give me an A" if you didn't have a keyboard player in the band?

hmmmm....perhaps, wrapping yourself up so tightly in the flag that it cuts off circulation to someone's mind....leading them to proclaim their love of FREEDOM daily!

loved that piece.....wow, that's A LOT of music from those two guys.

vinny, listening to your music i really admire and respect how you're able to keep things interesting and moving forward when playing over static harmony (no chord changes).....me, i need to lean on chord changes to keep my tunes even remotely interesting!

Once a theory of music is defined, be it Pythagorean or Oriental or what have you, you will have music. Instruments may very.

Mozart may have composed on a keyboard but he was working within a well defined framework that gave him a sense of place.

Without that, some primitive music may have charm but it is like early computers where you had to create your own operating system before you could run programs. You aren't going to compose too many symphonies using that 'method.'
