Places in Texas to write music!

Hey guys! My band and I are looking for places in Texas to write music. What that means is, we need places where we can hole up for a week, with full set up, and write music. A place that has no problem with loud noises and rock late into the night. Another important aspect, it needs to be cheap or free. Does anyone know of such a place? We are able to go outside of Texas. It would just be significantly easier if we could stay in our home state.

Go to facebook and type in MR TROLL. He knows everyone in the music world around Texas and should know someone who knows someone who may be able to help you. Tell him Rockcity sent you.

I don't understand the question. Do they not have a rental hall in Lake Jackson?

Why don't you rent a beach cabin on the west side of Galveston and set up on the balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico? I agree with Jimmy though....for writing it might be better to take a few acoustics out to the park.

If you need it loud to write then the volume becomes the point of the song. This mattered in the 70s.

There are lots of rehearsal rooms for rent around the Greater Houston area. Most have hourly rates here is a link to one of many.

Nothing in life is free.

If you go to the middle of the desert, you'll need electricity. That's why I suggested a beach cabin. Practically no one would be at the beach this time of year, and cabins are cheap enough in the off-season that a band could split the costs for a week and get total isolation from the rest of the world.
