Can't watch your video (at work), but I have to question: 1) what made your 'acoustic version' so unique? 2) did you pay for the rights to record/distribute the song?

I was on a Sony/BMG label for 8 years and do think that record labels are evil. Stealing from the poor star-struck musicians to make themselves rich.

the rest of that post is subjective.

Certainly most labels are evil most of the time, this is just a lousy example.

Arpeggio riff on the opening chord? I know at least 100 guitarists who might choose this including me.

If the acoustic version guy paid for permission to adapt the original and copyrighted his version before he posted on youtube, he "might" have a case. As is, it's just another case of similar ideas in the public domain with no rights to the work. Lesson learned.
