Nirvana's 'Nevermind'

24th Sept 1991, Nirvana's album 'Nevermind' was released in America, entering the chart at No. 144 on its first week. The album which peaked at No. 1 in January 1992 has now sold over 30m copies world wide. The idea for the now iconic front cover shot of the baby swimming came after Kurt Cobain and drummer Dave Grohl saw a TV documentary on water babies.

Mudhoney. They're not big time, but they survived. Tad, of the band Tad, has a killer new band called Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth. A lot of former members of various Seattle bands (I'll skip the "Grunge" label) formed Vaporland. That is a great band to get in on the ground floor with.

Basically, I'm suspicious of anyone who glorifies Nirvana, especially Nevermind, because they could have just stepped out of the frozen tundra and had never heard rock music until 5 minutes ago. What else you got, man? :roll:
