i've been wanting to build a stand for my lap steels (open G and C6 tuning) and then yesterday i found someone selling an almost new, two tier keyboard stand...for $20! yeah, babybee!

sounds like you mighta had a lemon, or perhaps there was some problem w the p/u. ?
these are both pretty hot (but not TOO hot)....i've actually toyed w the idea of pulling one out to put in one of my teles! killer tone on both of 'em. w great "taper" on the tone pots.

ry cooder and david lindley are big on pulling those p/u's to use in regular gtrs.

yeah, "Gold Foils" are da bomb!
mike, they're a cpl of Supro's. not sure what yr.....i'm guessing 50's or early to mid 60's. the one w the mother of toilet seat pearloid finish still has it's orig cloth wound hard wired 1/4" cable.
picked one of 'em in a pawn shop for $75, and the other a gtr student of mine sold me for $25. i tried to give him more money for it but he wouldn't have it.
