Since it can only be set up for 1 type of chord at a time (major, minor, etc), you could just as easily tune to a chord, and use your index finger ....

There is another way of looking at this. Lets say some kid gets real good, and becomes a "chord capo" hero. All the young chord capo groupie girls will be swooning all over him. Pretty soon millions of kids want to be Chord Capo artists. But then comes the fame, drugs and wild women. Pretty soon he's a chord capo has been, a drunk and a dope addict that gives chord capo users sort of a black name. But wait! They coin a new genre of music, "Black Chord Capo". Then comes Fusion Chord Capo, Heavy and Acid chord capo ...... it just never stops.

The Captain Easy Chord, or whatever that crap is flies circles around this like Snoopy vs the Red Baron. And that is an invention that got of the ground without this newfangled kickstarter garbage. Just learn to play guitar like anyone else. There are successful bands that only play in drop - D. Every song looks and sounds the same. And the public gobbles it up.
