hmmmm. i know what Post cereal is. i understand a B-ball player posting up. i often post here on BM and read other's posts. i used a post hole digger a few yrs ago when i put a fence in.

but i have zero idea what "post rock" is. since R&R (at least the term) came about in the '5o's there's lots of genres and styles that chronologically could be classified "post rock". seems like there might be a better term but we need a label for everything i s'pose.

perhaps i'll check some of the bands you mentioned for a better understanding of this genre. 8)

welcome to BM

Exactly. The Beach Boys were post rock. By the time the Beatles crossed the pond, it was all over.

All kidding aside, welcome. I'm 40. And I'm the young guy!

Looks like the OP took off when 'post rock' was made fun of.

Probably embarassed that he could't define it either! I hate genre-izing music. My stuff can vay over many different 'name' styles, when someone asked me what type of music I do, I don't like giving an answer, but others are very quick to label their stuff - even if the labels aren't really correct.
