Musician Forum - Band Discussion Board - BandMix

I'm a new subscriber and learning your site. When I search by instrument, e.g. 'piano', I get too many hits from subscribers who have chosen 'piano' as one of their many played instruments. How can a user find players who's MAIN instrument is piano. It seems many subscribers are trying to cover too many bases, and making it a little cumbersom to rifle through to the specialists. Any advice to the issue?

Part of the problem is that too many subscribers add instruments in a knee jerk way, as if they are expected to play such an instrument whether they know it or not. I cannot tell you how many times I've run into people who told me they played piano, but really couldn't at all. I think they do stuff like this because they believe saying such a thing gives them more "music cred" or something.

Just because you put your lips to a trumpet once in your life doesn't mean you're qualified to list it as one of the instruments you play.
