why post without any recording of what you have to offer? just a waste of space and time. if you really want a productive response, put something up.

Think of it this way - an easy way to rule out the unqualified riff-raff!

After reading this complaint, rephrased adnausium, by members who range from angry to just plain pissed off, please allow me to explain why I have no music posted.
I can't get music onto a computer. I'm getting closer. I'm really trying, but believe me, this is actually something that at least one person on this planet still can't do (me). I know, you laugh, call me stupid. Whatever. I don't care. This is my situation. All of my own making.
Next point. This site is for amateur musicians, as well as professionals. If you want to find a site that will keep us plebians away from your royal carriage, by all means, Google some stuff. My point is this. I put up a profile with no samples of my music, and believe it or not, found a great drummer. Maybe you need to polish up your profile. Influences, artists you currently listen to, styles, gear. All of that.
Third point. Even if I could post my music, Bandmix owns it. Read the fine print. I don't like that.
Thanks for your time.

It took me a while to get stuff up there and I'm still struggling - mainly because my recording skills are very bad - I've always just focused on writing songs and playing my instruments.

But it is very obvious that getting some music up there quick as you can, is a good idea - particularly if you are job hunting or looking for players.

Merry Christmas

I dont post audio clips because, to be blunt "I dont care". Im not looking to join a band or meet up with anyone. I come here to interact (chatting and sharing knowledge and ideas) about "music" and "playing music". Ill say the the majority of the people here are nice cool people but you do have others that are rude and immature.
I dont visit as often as I used to mainly for that reason.

" I dont post audio clips because, to be blunt "I dont care"" ....... OOPS. Same here. I don't have a smart phone, only dial up with an antiquated browser that most sites won't admit, so I can't go to those cool BS "social media" networks. I really don't care to meet a lot "social network" posers anyway. I've met enough of them on the Biker forums and musician forums. So like unfriend me.

But a line modem is good enough to get me onto this antisocial network! :)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING YOUR MUSIC
I'm always a bit disappointed to see a listing sent to me without music or video.
As for getting your music loaded to this site; most recorders use SD cards, have CD recorders, or USB.
Copy this music to your computer in order to upload the file to this site.
If you don't have any of these options available???????you are going to have a very hard time posting from a tape based machine. You will have to purchase an interface to digitize your music.
The song will probably need to be converted to MP3 before posting. This can be done with instructions from these links;
Windows
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... to-another
Mac
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT1550
A third option for this is a free program called Audacity. Very useful and informational website.
http://audacity.sourceforge.net
When you login to BANDMIX, you are at your DASHBOARD. From there select the MUSIC tab, then select UPLOAD MUSIC, choose your music file (will have the .MP3 extension), then select UPLOAD once more.
Another great source of information is YOUTUBE.COM. Youtube.com has videos with step by step instructions for anything you could ever want to do. Some are great, some are not so good. But the information is there. If you have a computer and internet you can do anything you set your mind to do.

getting peg-holed for having music up is just as crazy, I am a chameleon and can basically play everything from folk to heavy metal, never could get a grip on a rascuedo though, LOL.but I got a couple three "things" up, but hate being judged that is all what I am about, simply because that is all that is uploaded..
