International Music Competitions OPEN!
Posted: Tue Nov 25, 2014 10:47 amThe world is bracing itself for undoubtedly for the world’s most prestigious music event, MUWOFO Music World Cup. As part of preparations for this historic event set to be held in Texas, USA in 2016, MUWOFO is running three international competitions concurrently namely, MUWOFO Music Talent Search, MUWOFO World Cup Trophy Design and MUWOFO Music World Cup album.
MUWOFO Music World Cup album
Established musicians who wish to perform during the MUWOFO Music World Cup celebrations are able to secure a spot for themselves by participating in the compilation album for the first edition of the MUWOFO Music World Cup competitions. This will also allow them to participate in the Big Foot tour which is an international music tour to different countries as part of preparations for the music world cup. The music album competitions are meant to give a fair opportunity to artists from different countries to be involved in the music world cup. Contestants will be required to send two short video clips, an introduction video of not more than 10 seconds and a simple video of not more than 4 minutes of the song which will be used for voting.
HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITIONS
Two artists from each country will represent their nation by composing a song with the theme “ I BELIEVE” which is the theme for the music world cup. The artists will be required to submit the demo song for the competitions to MUWOFO including a simple video of the same song.
The most favourite tracks will be drafted into the MUWOFO Music World Cup Music Album. They will then be re-recorded and a music video will be shot courtesy of MUWOFO. The music will be distributed to countries around the world and the artists are entitled to royalties of this project. Artists on the compilation album will perform these songs during the MUWOFO Music World Cup competitions and they will also get a slot to perform during the MUWOFO Music World Cup Fiesta which is a festival that runs throughout the duration of the competitions.
MUWOFO Music Talent Search
This is the biggest global music talent search competition which aims to reach out to all parts of the world in search of hidden talent that is yet to be discovered. Competitors from different parts of the world will compete on one platform showcasing their talent, culture and music prowess as they battle for amongst other prizes, a spot to perform at the first edition of the MUWOFO Music World Cup. Competitors have to pass through three stages in which they will also get an opportunity to be mentored musically as well as get exposure in many countries around the world. This competition is open to all age groups and music genres. Participants are free to sing in any language of their choice and they are also encouraged to incorporate their culture in the songs.
HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITIONS
Only two participants will be chosen from each country to represent their nation in this prestigious international music talent search competition. The two contestants will be required to send two short video clips, an introduction video with a plain blue background of not more than 10 seconds and a performance of not more than 3 minutes preferably with a background which depicts the culture of their nation.
FIRST ROUND AUDITIONS
Participants will first compete whilst still in their home countries by sending an original performance video according to the specifications which they are given by MUWOFO. The video is submitted to a panel of judges for rating. The video will also be uploaded online to allow fans to view their performance and support them. Voting for the participants will be done via sms platforms and online. The results of those votes and the rating by the panel of judges will determine the overall outcome of the competitions.
SEMI FINALS
Only 50 participants will make it through to the semi finals of the MUWOFO Music talent search set to be held in South Africa in 2015. The contestants will also get an opportunity to mix and mingle with other contestants from other countries as well as learning their music and culture. The contestants will be required to attend music workshops and learn more about music theory, music performance, music law and music business. Performances will strictly be original compositions only.
FINALS
Only five participants will make it to the third and final round of MUWOFO Music Talent search which will be held in Texas, USA in 2016. The five contestants will be judged according to their performance as a solo act, duet and in a group. They will also get an opportunity to meet professional musicians as well as get a feel of performing live in front of a big audience.
