Dane, if you are still lurking near the monitor I posted this one for you since you were disappointed that I wasn't doing enough finger picking.
This song dates way back in time being passed down through the years with various verses. Black workers in the post-Civil War South sang versions of it while they worked the coal mines. Since then a good many musicians have recorded various versions of it sometimes adding their own verses to personalizing it for themselves.
I thought I would play it as a guitar lick road map of sorts so I didn't forget what I wanted to do with it when I recorded it on video, but my processor was acting up and it has a bit of splatter in it. Regardless it has some fair ideas in it for those who may wish to use them so I "cleaned" it up a bit.
As usual, for me, it's all about the guitar. I'm still working out how I want to present the vocal at this time.
