Hey guys here to socialize as much as humanly possible. Work a lot and Music is coming but slowly. I am a solo artist that is all self taught and passionate about creating and listening to music. So these "songs" are playful banter to help you understand my vision for the final product. Feel free to comment after you visit my profile and listen. Thank you!!!! 8)

Slacker, your style of music has changed significantly from what I remember it sounding like.. good job, but I miss the fingerstyle picking..

I know that some refer to me as Slacker. My profile as Badstrat is the virtually same as the profile of Slacker G in every detail. Why? Because Slacker is not my real name only a screen name that I used on the old Bandmix forum just as is Badstrat is the screen name I have chosen for the new Bandmix forum.. There is someone new on here going by Slacker now. I made no attempt to disguise who I was and am. But if you want to avoid the confusion, Badstrat is who I am on this new board.

Dane,
I am still finger picking as much as ever, but I have not uploaded anything for a while that is strictly a fingerpicking instrumental. Most of my stuff recently such as the song "Only When it Rains" puts all the guitar picking effort into the instrumental portion of what I have been recording. I used to do a lot of fun stuff when playing behind vocalists. I don't have any singers hanging around here for the most part so I do my own inferior vocals so that I have something to play behind. Better writing songs, arranging, and recording them for the fun of it as opposed to doing nothing at all. I will do some instrumentals when inspired and post them. :)

Wow! That's enlightening. Now if only the new "slacker" knew what the hell you were talking about.
I'll check out the video you posted.

"Now if only the new "slacker" knew what the hell you were talking about."

So you're a mind reader or a personal friend of the musician who's handle is Slacker? Just how do you know what he was thinking? I'm truly impressed. Perhaps you can do better as a mind reader in a circus as opposed to being a musician. The pay would most certainly be better.

Some of the older musicians have referred to me as slacker since I began posting as Badstrat. Let me help you out here.. If more than one person was on the forum calling himself schmedidiah without using any numbers in the suffix you might be able to figure out the reason I posted that all by yourself without my help . :)

" I'll check out the video you posted."

Do you even know if I have any videos posted? Do you know where they are if I do have any posted? I doubt it.

If there were as many talented musicians on this board as there are smart mouths on this forum it would be a monster forum.

I'm sorry, I kind of did that backwards. You posted a link. Out of the corner of my eye, I figured it was a YouTube link. Sometimes I operate too fast for my own good, or I'm too tired to really post anything that makes any sense. I go back and edit a lot of stuff. I'm apologizing, whether you care or not. I'll just leave you alone. I listened to most of your songs. That's great stuff.

Schmedidiah ,

Thank you, but did not need to apologize to me. I wasn't offended. The only reason you feel that way is that you are a gentlemen.
There aren't many of those these days, especially on the Internet forums. :)

The parents taught me manners, even if I am a shit-talker.
This place is a trip. I'm used to discussing music with people my own age. Seems like the baby boomers on here get into fights at the drop of a hat, usually over nothing. I'll say it again. I don't care what anyone says about me. Who the hell are they? Some internet troll. I'll talk about music all day long. I'm just waiting for someone to start us off.

Aw come on Schmed - I'm a boomer and you ain't likely to see me get nasty. Not perfect but it has always seemed kind of weird to argue politics since everyone has already made up their mind.

Now guitars...

I know who's brawling here, and who isn't. Sorry to generalize. Seems like a generational thing to me.
