The 121's (my truck stop Honky Tonk band) played "Into The Mystic" on Saturday.....I always love playing bass on that song

My wife bought it for me - she insists I wear one now when I'm going to be outside for hours - after I came home on Memorial Day after a day at the race track with the top of my head (through what hair I still have) well-reddened.

i wish i could wear a hat but i just look like a horses a$$ in one. and i've never been comfortable overheating my brainbox.

i will be wearing my suede cowboy hat, western shirt, vest, and cowboy boots this friday at the truckstop for halloween. though it's a cowboy/honky tonk scene.....i don't play "dress up". so, for my costume i'll be masquerading as a "country bass player".

guess i'll leave the six string bass home and bring the old '63 P Bass.

I never used ot wear hats, either. Best bet is to get someone else (who cares what you look like!) pick one out for you.

Wonder if any of the regulars at the truckstop will be dressed up as a jazz player?
