Formed in Boise in 1958, as The Downbeats.
One of our few claims to fame.

His real name was Paul Revere Dick.
I only caught 'Where the Action Is' a few times, it was on weekdays, I guess? I was always doing something after school, no time for afternoon tv watching.

I watched all those guys too - was a big Raider's fan - thought the costumes were silly but loved the music.

"I hadda leave town 'cuz of Uncle Sam's Deal" What a great line! (Particularly for young guys who were facing the draft and definitely not looking forward to it!)

For me though - it was all leading up to a culmination: Shindig the night The Stones opened with 'The Last Time' and then at the end debuted 'Satisfaction.' Just Damn!
