Unless you're from the New England area, chances are you never heard of the band Orpheus, a late 60s/eary 70s band out of Worcester, Mass. They had one big hit, 'Can't Find The Time' which was covered by Hootie & the Blowfish a few years ago, and had 4 albums and a few singles.
By chance last night I opened my Open Mic with some 'local' songs and did Can't Find the Time first. While playing, I saw an older man with guitar come in and sign up, and when I was done with my songs he came up and introduced himself - he was the original bass player for Orpheus and still plays in the area with another ex-Orpheus guy.

No, actually I asked him, and he wasn't going to do it, but he said that if he did, it would be nothing like my version. He finger-played everything, and did songs in a very laidback style (afterall, he's 72 years old!)
