I have followed this guy since his touring days with Miles Davis in the 70s. As monster guitarists go, Robben is probably the closest to the music I hear in my head. It should be fun spending a day with this awesome musician.

So noted Don, I just looked it up. It's a terrible thing when memories run together and turn to mush.
I wonder if he has a thumbdrive I can buy and simply download his chops and lyrical sensibility or do we still have to acquire them the old fashioned way?

I am wondering where his master class is held. Is it at MI (GIT)? I attended one of his seminars there.

The one I signed up for is in Ojai CA, a resort town in SoCal and I believe he lives nearby. It is about 2 hrs from my house and we are making a getaway weekend out of it. Honey will hit the spa while I am getting my music on and we will add some outdoor adventures to the trip as we get closer.

RF is indeed a great gtrst. Always reminded me a bit of Mike Bloomfield.

Wow! If you like Robben Ford's playing and his blend of blues and jazz sensibilities I recommend getting into one of his classes. Lots of great stuff to separate yourself from the dogpack and create your own voice. I recorded the whole thing so I can refer to it as I attempt to apply what I have learned. Now to see how much of it of it sticks.

This has been a rather excellent month for one old guitarist. A few weeks ago I spent the day with Robben Ford and tonight I spent Halloween evening with Herman Li of DragonForce. Both players at the top of their respective games.
