I've been throwin up my lyircs on my myspace for about a year now and I've just recently decided that I wanted to take them a little further. I'd really like to collaborate with a guitarist/composer. But what I would really like is for anyone interested or curious, check out my myspace and check out my lyrics. They are in the blog section, naturally.

I like "The Descent". It's pretty good, and it's in meter, which will make it easier for someone to step in and help make a song out of it.

One piece of advice, as you become a songwriter.

Don't ever put yourself too close to the song, that you can't collaborate or take healthy criticism. That is a definite sign of immaturity as an artist. Be open minded about your co-writer's suggestions. Try their idea out a few times, before just dismissing it. Get other's opinions that have nothing to gain or lose, as a sounding board.

In this business, you will have to work with alot of different personalities. Decide now, to do that professionally, and with an open mind, so you don't burn any bridges before you have even walked across them!

Just trying to be helpful. I can tell you have passion for the craft, and I wish you the best of luck!
