"Video management thing"?

So what is up with this "Video management thing"?

I fill in the required boxes, and the thing has been telling the same thing, I need to put the URL in, . . . . . I've done so umpteen times over the last few days, and still I'm getting the error message.

Kind of super frustrating.

Placing a URL is a basic simple thing. I've done so hundreds of times in the past, on many web pages, and I have have done so on this site too, but now I keep getting the error thing . . . . . it's making me nuts.

Is this site broken?

The forums have definitely been having issues, but I haven't seen any problems with the profiles.
Are you sure you're putting in a valid URL? No html tags (like [ url ] . Note that if its youtube, there are two possible URLs, one that shows in your browser window with 'watch' in it, and one from the 'share' feature - try both.

'll go and see if it will help me figure it out.

OK thanks for taking a moment, with my query about the video management problem I'm encountering.

When I tried to post, the (URL?), it looks exactly like all the other ones I have posted in the past. I used the same cut and paste method as before.

I'll go back and try again. All I'm trying to do here is replace some videos with some more recent ones I've made, nothing to exiting, just rearranging the things on the shelf kind of thing.

Thanks for the info, I'll go and see if it will help me figure it out.

Idea here is what the (URL?) I'm trying to post looks like. I'll cut and paste it at the end of this message.

Thanks for the tip.

Nope, nothing, ....... just the same ol' ERROR enter correct URL

Bellow, are the URL's of all the previous links I've successfully placed without any hassle at all. Maybe the CIA or the NSA hates me for some opinions I have about their mind-control projects?.

Sure I want to take over the world, but that is no reason to make a simple YT video about Yoda not link up.

Any Idea how I may use "the Force" to my advantage in this situation?

You could try the 'share' link that doesn't have all the 'watch....' stuff in the url, but otherwise just keep trying.

Thanks again

Thanks again, Mr Guitar Mike, I'll try again.

I hope I was not spamming, by placing examples of previously posted URL's in these replies. I am only intending to show, how my previous successful attempts, were identical, to my most recent unsuccessful attempts.

Just trying to post.

Thank you. Stay tuned for a hopefully successful report.

Have a great day.

Nope, . . . . . . . Nothing.

I think the site is broken, or it hates me, or maybe some cats have gotten into the intrertubes, and started pulling on the wires.

Oh well. 8)

dave... you may be on to something... the site is broke. Not a penny to it's name! :P
But seriously there have been numerous problems with BM lately. But I'm not ruling out the NSA just yet!
Welcome to the forum.
You guys are good!

That's some rocking stuff you guys are doing there in New York. I think you guys sound great.

I've only been there once. It was the day after Hurricane Sandy blew in to town. We came there to play a bunch of gigs, but, were flooded out of some of them.

Stayed about a week. Loved it.

Hope to get back someday.

Thanks for taking a moment with some of the things I've posted.

Take care GLENNY J.

damn, I see you're looking to play some bass. too bad you're so far from Mid-Missouri because my bluegrass group MERE MORTALS is currently looking for a bass player!

damn geography!

welcome to Bandmix.

Don't kid yourself Jahva, your singing is just fine. It's not about pitch perfect tecno-exactness, it's about what you put into it. These songs you have presented, would play well with a live band. Keep on with the composing.

Too bad it's all about borders, and fear now in this world, it would be cool to just drop in and say hello. I've never been to North Carolina, I got that travelling bug, but no means, or valid excuse to go places other than in my mind at the moment.

If your just into the git-box, how did you get the drums and bass? Was it you mess'n about with them, or some pals?

BTY, except for the songs titled "Crazy D" & "the Travelin' Song" everything else you may have heard, was just me messing around with the Garage Band. I like to do that multi instrumental thing. I find writing songs in that way, then presenting them to others, cuts down a lot of time explaining the crazy ideas I may have.

Good tunes you have Mr Jahva.

Hi Mr Planetguy, I could always defect. Oh say can you seeeeeee.

I really like the mallet instruments, all the 'o'phones. You have a nice bit of a jazz feel with these songs. very pro sounding.

Thanks for listening, that Zombie song, is semi-hot off the presses, and very off the cuff, somehow, I uploaded an inferior mix by accident, I'll try to replace it soon with a mix I personally enjoy more.

I was mentioning earlier in a reply to Mr Jahva how most of the stuff you might hear from this BandMix site, were I'm posting, is made with that Garage band thingie.

I like to play all kinds of instruments, and enjoy the process of recording and mixing stuff. I find by playing different instruments, I can get a better feel for the needs of the performers, whom I may be doing sound for, or playing with.

Thanks for the welcome, and the vote of bass playing confidence.

Seriously, I could find that underground railway and . . . . . . . . .

Yeah Dave it's just me, I use an older simpler version of Pro-Tools as my DAW and play the gits and bass. The drums are made up as I go on a Yamawho keyboard. Thanks for checking on the tunes.
If you ever come to NC... the triangle or Asheville are the places with vibrant music scenes... Charlotte not so much.

You got a bit of Memphis country in your sounds. I like it.
I was expecting the Gnome to reappear during the Evil Elf's creek tune... :P
Good luck to you!

Gone, just a digital vapour now.

Hi Jahva.

I just had a reply for you, ready to post, with all kinds of words and stuff like that, but I guess it took to long to "submit" it.

Gone, just a digital vapour now.

Basicly I was just saying, . . . . . .

Thanks for sharing your drum tech method. Very well played and solid timing. Nice stuff.

As far as the "Memphis" sound, thanks. I think if I have any of that, it must come from love'n the blues, and Hank, and a miss-spent youth.

Yea, I wished I had got that Gnome into that Evil little film too.

Thanks tons for spending a moment listening to some of these things I've placed into this BandMix site.

See you around Mr Jahva.

Dave
