i've taken to writing down songtitles as they arrive unannounced and univited into my little brain. i found a piece of scrap paper earlier today w a cpl that i came up w (and forgot about).

Moronist as in "more honest"....but, well..you get it.

it's rare that i write anything but instrumental music and coming up w song titles is both challenging and fun. vinny has some real good and creative song titles.....perhaps he'll share a few???

I like titles that can give off more than one thought.

so, i mentioned we have tunes in the can and we're at mixdown stage for an upcoming P-Jazz cd.

looks like we'll be calling it "Squirrel Curfew" which is the name of one of my tunes.

i got to thinking that you never see squirrels at night, so they must have some curfew when they must be off the streets.

i've given my idea for an album cover to my dad who is a prettty good artist....

the concept is four squirrels standing on their hind legs dressed very coolly in full-on jazzbo attire (berets and such) and they're on the bandstand holding/playing their instruments (our instruments: vibes/bass/sax/drums) and one or two of them is looking over their shoulder kinda concerned at the clock on the wall.

Sometimes I just crack myself up! Not very often but sometimes! Us old farts have to make fun of one another's gray beards!

I've been growing my hair much longer - I figure sooner or later it will get back to the brown part!

They are even more swinging than cats!

Great album art cover idea. I miss the old vinyl album covers where you could see details. Shrink it down to 4.5" square and you got nothing.

problem is their overbite plays bloody hell w their embouchure. upside is they never have trouble trimming their reeds.

i might have dad do just one cool cat...i mean cool squirrel w a sax.

Mark, I think you should stick with your original idea here. Slightly alter the looks of each squirrel to resemble each member of the band.
