I love this guy...and wish we would all follow his lead to dilute Spotify's value like they've done to our music.

Ok, but what's their actual cost to get the songs up on cdbaby, itunes, spotify? Last I saw it was like $39 at cdbaby + an annual fee. Not sure how you get music on spotify. I've submitted to pandora now that they offer e submissions.

CDBaby doesn't charge an annual fee but they do get a percentage of every sale.
Tunecore charges an annual fee but doesn't take anything from a sale.
Both of them will put your music on Spotify (like it or not) and other digital streaming services.

Right, but the guy who made $23000 - how much did he spend to get his
hundreds of tunes up there? Figuring there is a limit on # of songs per album they allow (20, for most, I think), he could be spending thousands. Of course he's figured out how to cater to the lowest common denominator (songs about poop?)
