How in the world did they get on?

On key. Fine timing. Everything else is bad.

Bizarre vocal tone. Indecipherable lyrics.

WHAT WAS UP AT 2:08

No guitar. That would not be a problem if the rest of the instruments were riveting. Nope.

Lame synth strings.

And then a flash of cookie monster metal vocals at 3:08

Geezer hair on the vocalist.

Androgynous bass player.

minimal dynamics.

And then I found myself somehow hooked in some way. It's not like the vocals are good.

I do like the primitive bass.

Alright, I see why they're on.

Still a lot to dislike.

Weird.

Yeah, I think it's all about the bizarre frontman.
I could be wrong...

It's ultimately boring to me, but I found myself thinking about and eventually going back to it - because he's weird and entertaining.

It's the the ultimate juxtaposition between the mundane (music) and the bizarre (frontman)

I'm with Dave... I liked it. Guy has some soul. More of a stylist and just a groove with r&b roots to me.

And you will find yourself singing, "I've been waiting on you"

Cool set. Lead singer is half my age. Teaches me... Don't do that.

Gotta give them points for getting to that stage and trying.

I know, I know... The big question keeps coming up. Why did the Beatles make it and the Rolling Stones didn't?

(The cookie monster stuff was just a mistake in judgement on his part.) lol
I bet he regrets doing that on Letterman, live.
I bet when someone says "You Tube" he cringes...ouch.

I wasn't going to watch this but I was entertained in how bad it actually was.

"THANKS for sharing"

MAYBE that cookie monster thing was ad lib. :(

like everything, it's all quite subjective.

mundane music....yeah, i get that take on it. but it also kinda harkens back to the keyboard and synth driven bands of the late 70's/early 80's in a good way. and i do like that really cool bit the bassplayer does towards the end of the tune. cool figure.

weird frontman.....meh, he's just doing his thing that he's comfortable with. we've all seen weirder schtik.

Indecipherable lyrics..... i was disappointed when i couldn't understand some of his lines. especially so, because i BELIEVED the guy. he seemed like HE really believed what he was singing. had to look them up and was glad i did.

geezer hair.....LOL!!! hey, at this point i do recognize that not everyone is blessed w a mane like mine!

in all i gotta give it a resounding thumbs up. thnks for sharing that vid.
