Well it's been a good run but it looks like the Johnny7band has played it's last gig. It's been a ton of fun, a lot of hard work and determination, and a lot of magic moments in time when everyone was in the groove and the music nearly played itself. We really had 4 lineup changes over the years and with each one the band evolved and moved in a slightly different direction. Time to call it a day and move on to other musical adventures.

My bass player and I have been together essentially since college and we are going to explore some different things and keep in touch. He is joining a band with another guitarist who played in J7 four years ago. I am now part of a startup band focusing on rock music from 1965-1975. We will be hitting the car show, Harley, and festival circuit and have a few reunion gigs lined up already.

Looking forward to new musical experiences.

I always say one door closes and another one opens. Wow 10 years that is quite an accomplishment! Your an awesome player with great organizational skills and will be a huge asset to any band lucky enough to recruit you! Good luck.

That's pretty radical Johnny - making it that long. Hope your new thing pans out. Soon you're rolling in dough and fighting off the girls!

Looking forward to new musical experiences is good and all.

But I cannot help but feel a tinge of pain, and a tear in my musicians eye on the thought.
Perhaps I love my bandmates too much for my own sanity.

So be it.

You're a player... just doing what players do. 8)
Best to you and your new venture!

Appreciate the kind words guys. I will always have some great memories with former band mates and it was a very good time in my life. Moving forward is indeed bittersweet.

Rehearsal #2 with the new band today... Oh my, this is starting to get good. These guys are players and the vocals are coming together quickly. I think we will be ready for a shakedown show at a local watering hole next month. I hope to get some video. Stay tuned. 8)

Any working band that can last 10 years is special, whether it sells 80 million records, or 80.
You'll always have that time in your mind.

Good luck.
