Buzz about these strings from the UK, that is.
I'm gonna get a few sets soon as I get my buddy to PayPal it for me.

Anybody try these?

Ha ha you got me GZ I thought you were talking about your guitar! I use D'adarrio strings and I by them in a ten pack. I get them for between $30 & $35. These are the ONLY strings I will EVER use! They are hands down the best strings I have ever used. At $3.00 a set they are cheap and the longest lasting best sounding string available! I use the EXL 120's

i haven't tried those, but i have tried and liked Newtone's "Archtop" set.

Nice smooth feel and tone...they're pretty good strings but almost as much as a set of Thomastiks. so, if i'm flush and gonna plop down $14 or $15 on Newtones... i'll go another $5 and go w Thoms. nothing comes CLOSE to them for me.

Like the "Archtop" set...it looks like the one you're interested in is also a pure nickel wrap as opposed to nickel plated like the D'Ad XL series. don't get me wrong, i'm a fan of D'Ad's for sure and used to use them on both gtrs and basses....but at some point i decided i like pure nickel better than nickel plated steel. it's a little warmer and definitely easier on the fingers and frets.

let us know how like 'em gtzip.

Mr. Haley, George

I use the d'Addario equivalent of Slinkie Hybrids. Switched from the Ernie Ball a couple years ago. Absolutely love 'em.

Talbout, I used Ernie Ball slinkies for a long time and they constantly broke. When I switched to D'Addario it solved that problem!

I think Dunlop is the best of the big-brand, easily available strings.
