I sent out 20 requests to bassists who were active within the last month or less in the last couple days and have had no responses so far. When I post on craigslist usually at least 50% respond even if they're not interested. I'm in southern-central PA. Does anyone else experience the same thing or have any suggestions.

Typical for BM. The ratio for this site at best is 20 to 1. I like your tone on "Come Back" good recording too. Welcome to bandmix. I use my site here as a site to direct people from CL and other sites. Be patient and you'll find what you are looking for.

As far as my tone, I used a fender Mustang III direct, while the kids were sleeping. 57' Champ amp, marshall cab.

I can't recommend those new Mustang v2's enough.

No wonder you have good tone your a Fender man!

Totally. When I'm not playing silent I use a super-sonic 22 and a tele.

I always include my personal phone and Email these days when I send out contacts.

This practice seems to have reduced the ratio to 19:1

Seriously I sent out four request, and received two return calls in less than 48 hrs on my last attempt.
