Sacred Ground was right up me alley! Probably your more simpler piece I'm guessing. Kept drwing me in... but why so short? EXPAND IT!!! Damnit! :P
Cool blend of rhythms throughout... yeah like Vinny also really liked Peace and Love.
So did you play everything on these recordings?

thanks for weighing in mike and pulling no punches.

i don't take exception or any offense at "background music" since i get that you're not a "jazz guy", but i am surprised that anyone into more mainstream stuff could listen to "No, Do I Look Tense", and "Once In Your Life"...even "Go Fourth" and think of them as "PLEASANT background music".

I really liked the “Do I look Tense”, busy mellow jazz like. Reminds me of the background piano track for Sim City/Sims. “Once in Your Life” I found interesting too, I like busy music. Out of all of them I liked “Peace and Love” the most, but it was really short, that groove could of went on for a bit more. :)

thanks for checking 'em out and the props.

i'm not hip to " Sim City/Sims". what's that?

as to "busy"....yeah, i'm my own worst editor.

i'm a basically just a plug in and play spontaneous kinda guy. i'll come up w a groove and chord progression..maybe a decent melody if i'm lucky and then just start overdubbing parts (w no more than one or two takes.... that's as close as i come to a "rule" when recording)

the problem is... then i grow attatched to each of the parts and have trouble saying "adios" to 'em!

and sometimes it does make for a very thick stew!

I listened to them again this morning while having coffee and breakfast and still find them the same - background music. They might be 'busy' in places, but nothing that would not be described as pleasant.

Ah, I was hoping to hear a story about that show!

No problem though, "Once In your Life" is a great malletKAT story of it's own!

I would hazard the guess it would be Bernard Maseli's KAT in the pic.
