Lots of depressing stuff in the news these days...Half the middle east trying to start wars with the other half, or the rest of the world, Syria about to be a war zone, Ukraine probably not far behind, terrorist threats at the Olympics, spree killings and school shootings here in the US, Hillary probably running for president, volcano erupting I can't remember where...

And 8 year old Tyler Doohan lost his life a few days ago while trying to get his grandfather out of a burning trailer, after already saving the lives of several other family members.

According to the article fire departments all over the country are adding his name to their rosters. I think that's cool as it gets.

I read that the local volunteer fire company had a special open ceremony where the kid was formally inducted into the fire department and honored as dead in action.

It moved me.
