it's hard finding a deal on a guitar at Greedbay..

After my ebay experience last year getting a f*cked up taylor acoustic, I said 'no more acoustics' by Ebay (at least I got a full refund)! I did, however, get a decent Epiphone Dot on ebay at a good price (just had to buy a hardshell case for it and do a set up) - probably saved $50-$80 on that compared to used ones I've seen at Guitar Center. And I got a cheap Chinese Strat clone (HSS) for $25 + $28 shipping. Had to give it a set up and buff the edges of the frets, but I wanted it just so I had an electric with a whammy bar!

Ebay is a useful tool for selling. It is a lot less interesting for buying as you often pay full-pop retail for quality gear. I did find a nice USA Strat once (the blue one in my avatar pic) that few were bidding on and got it for $450. Also found a pristine Hot Rod Deluxe amp for $350. Snipe seems to be the only way to win at the last second so I haven't bought anything from there in 5 years.
