Hi, all. I am in the Detroit Metro Area and, for the past year or so, have been searching for a female keyboardist with lead and backing vocal abilities to add to our already consistently working cover band. It just seems as though THERE ARE NONE! LOL.
She wouldn't have to carry us vocally all night, as we already have three other lead vocalists in our band. We just want a female to make us more versatile.
Either we have a shortage in our area, or they're just not advertising on the 'Musicians For Hire' sites.
Can anyone suggest any other means to finding the last piece of our puzzle?
Thanks......Jon

Visit venues where prospective players might play - open mics that have keyboards, for example. Maybe think about separate keyboard player and singer?

Thanks for the ideas. While we don't NEED a keyboardist or female vocalist, we thought it would be to our advantage to add one who can do both....lol. Killing two birds with one stone, if you will. We really don't want our asking price to increase by too much. We like to stay competitive...so the fewer band members, the better.
