Hey guys. I have been looking around for a decent, and modestly price for an all-in-one app for musicians. I can't find anything close to it. So, I decided to just make one myself. I will call it Melody Pro. This app will feature instant notation (As you play the virtual piano, the music notation instantly appears on the previously blank sheet music page as you play along). I will include a metronome, an instrument tuner, and the ability to import previous sheet music that we already have scattered throughout our homes.

My question to you guys: What would you like to see in this app? What would make this the perfect, all-in-one app to help you fully utilize your musical abilities?

Assuming funding comes through (feel free to donate but that's not why I'm here), I'm expecting this to be done by January of 2014.

isn't there already software that does precisely that? Sibelius for instance.

Yeah Sibelius is probably the closest app to the one that I'm trying to make, but it is incredibly lacking. I'm trying to make an app that will cater to a musicians every need, like include a metronome and a tuner, and the Sibelius app is mainly focused on sheet music.

in what way is sibelius lacking?

i don't mean to throw a wet blanket on your dreams but these days are most musicians lacking a tuner?

and if anyone is lacking a metronome/drum machine/time keeping app on their phone...there are a tons of free downloadable metronomes currently avail.

No problem I see what your saying! Yeah there are a bunch of great musician-related apps scattered around the App Store, but there is no all-in-one app. The key part of Melody Pro though that I think is so cool, is the part where you play the piano and whatever you just played is instantly created into sheet music in real time. Combine that functionality with a metronome, tuner, and all of your other sheet music imported into the app just struck me as like the perfect music app. Then I realized more could be added, and that is what brought me here.
