Speaking about song writing:

Here are some supposed stories that inspired some big songs. Who knows if they are true.

The Pink Floyd and In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida ones are true, don't know about any of the others (don't know more than half of the other songs).

Hey Guitar Mike B, I listened to your reverbnation tunes. Very cool, but is there bass on it? If so I can hardly hear it. It would be very interesting to hear ME put my bass on your tunes. You would be pleasantly surprised.

Gee, that actually sounds like a good collaboration even if I do say so myself.

What do you think, Mike? I think I'd like to hear that..

Thanks, Bob. What songs did you listen to? There's a couple that don't have bass (Peace of the Sea, Return to the Sea, Dark Street, just off the top of my head). The RN versions are all MP3s, too which can f*ck up the sound somewhat. It may be that you are not hearing the low-down thumping bass you are used to live? The first batch of songs is from my latest CD and mastered fairly well, there was a lot of bass 'mud' in the mix which the mastering engineer had to clean up. Listen to 'The Beast Within' - the intro is phased/delayed bass and the bass line is the dominant lead instrument during the ending.

Maybe a couple of my yet-to-be-recorded songs would suit your bass style, been doing mostly acoustic-oriented stuff recently, but have a couple of songs in the work that I'd love you to add bass to!

damn, i think i used to play w that drummer! don't know what they sound like but they sure have some pretty cool equipment. i dig the EUB (elec upright bass), the drummer's cool little kick, and i do believe that's a "Herb Ellis" model Ibanez. nice.

dane, do you recall the name of that group?
