it's on sale today for 69 dollars but not sure what the method is to make a multi-track recording with it is? is it even possible? if Mike comes back before the sale ends and says it is capable of multi-track recording I think I will snag it..

No multitrack as a stand alone unit Dane. It records stereo or loops (sound on sound). Used as a mic feeding a usb port on your computer you could record multitrack with Reaper or Garageband software and record your next album. I am a fan of these little guys and use my Zoom H1 often to record ideas and rehearsals.

Entry level stand alone multitrack recorders start with the Tascam DR-40 or Zoom H4N. Both work well as multitrack sketchpads or for live takes that you can transfer and mix down later.

If you have a smartphone you could get one of these and use a multitrack recording app. Neanderpaul sometimes records with this.
