This Thanksgiving we have much to be thankful for, despite everybody moaning about Obamacare. We still live in a pretty great country despite all its foibles. And I'm still alive! And yes, I'm going to stuff my face this Thursday and watch football on TV. If that's not the best way to spend a day I don't know what is. And I wish you all stuff yer faces as well..

So far I'm planning to stay home and have a nice peaceful, quiet day all to myself. No idea what I'll make up for munchies, I got sick of traditional ; long ago. My favorite is steak and smoked salmon, potato salad, home made bread...

Hope everyone has a good Turkey day

and stay the hell off the roads...it's krazy out there.

I'm frying up 2 Turkey's! Last year my wife stuffed the Turkeys cavity full of red, yellow, green bell peppers, pablano peppers, and onions. Then she sows the cavity with a cooking thread. Then we inject them with garlic butter injectable seasoning. Then I slowly lower the well thawed turkey's into 325 degree peanut oil and fry 3.5 minutes per pound. It usually takes about 45 minutes per bird. Oooooohhhh once you eat a turkey cooked this way you'll never want an old dried out oven roasted turkey again. This must be done outside because if you screw up that peanut oil becomes a flame thrower! Oh yeah and some quantities of beer will be consumed in the process!

Never understood Thanksgiving, despite the various Wikipedia stories telling me about indigenous and outlanders having some sort of peace pipe and such.
At least you can call it 'ThanksGiving', Happy holidays refers to something we over the pond know by another name.
Enjoy the Turkey + trimmings

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.

Be well, have a great time.

Today I'm cleaning and rearranging the music studio/computer room, making a crockpot of chili and brining the turkey.
Tomorrow - feasting all day and movies (no football!)
Friday - recording
Saturday - stuff with the wife

Gotta love a 5-day weekend!

Have a happy T-day everyone!

God bless you all.

My team worked so hard Tuesday the boss gave us today off. He also gave me a bottle of Scotch and some good advice.

As a result of his good advice I'll be swallowing my pride and having dinner with my step son and wife - and grandchildren.

It is nice to be off - chores I've neglected getting done, music tasks and some good old fashioned loafing!

best everyone

Talbot

Happy Thanksgiving to all you Turkeys on here.

My son is in Germany, my daughter is with her mom, so Im kidless this thanksgiving, going to my moms for lunch and then my GFs for dinner, so I will be stuffed for sure.

I hope you all have a nice drama free relaxing day tomorrow!

Travel to Lindale for Thanksgiving feast at one of my son-in law / daughter's home.
Family & extended family.
I love them all but I hate crowds.

( funny for a performer to hate crowds ? )

I'd prefer to spend the day in the wood, but that's just me.

George

I have the same problem. But as I reminded myself today - it's not about me - if people, particularly children, want to see me, I guess I better show up.

Sounds like you did your duty too!

The kids wanted to come and spend the weekend with me and I drew the line at that! 8)
