My band is hosting a show featuring bands from the vibrant Chicago colleges circuit. Everyone agrees that NEIU is a university known for its diversity in culture, reflecting the wide variety of student backgrounds that gives NEIU its unique quality. The same can be said of the music that every student listens to—it can span the whole spectrum of genres. There is a new music scene emerging from this community of student culture. A community of creative and talented students who are making waves in the somewhat placid surface of mediocre music.
