Rudeness rant!

I think it is just plain rude to not reply to emails when you advertise for band members, etc! It's fine if you think the person responding is not a good fit, a short return email saying 'no thanks' takes 10 seconds to do.
No response from Art (former partner). No response form two guys here on BM who had updated their profiles very recently and included contact info.
Guess I would not last long in a band/partnership where the other person was that inconsiderate.
I see the same thing at work, too. People never respond at all until you send 2 follow-up emails. Then they call you so there is no 'paper trail'.

Selfishness creates unreliability.

Sad, but true.

2Ti 3:1 You can be certain that in the last days there will be some very hard times. People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud, stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents. They will also be ungrateful, godless, heartless, and hateful. Their words will be cruel, and they will have no self-control or pity. These people will hate everything that is good. They will be sneaky, reckless, and puffed up with pride. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure.

Unlike today. Not at all. Not like it is worldwide these days.

Thats why these days, I just interact with people who I know actually play out in front of people, of course my problem is I can committ to a full schedule of playing, so Im the issue.

Ive gotten to where I dont even expect replys to say craigslist ads, I actually have run a couple with the idea of finding a like minded bass player to do something with, but so far I havent had one person reply.

Oh well its thier loss....................................

i believe it's the further de-evolution of society. in these days of (un)social media it's more and more convenient for people to be rude.

and it's especially rude when someone takes the time to reply to an ad and the original poster doesn't respond back because they've decided the person has nothing to offer that benefits them.

more and more i hear the excuse..."well, i meant to _______ , but i've been soooooo busy". yeah, what are you soooooo busy doing? oh, yeah....things you consider MORE IMPORTANT. right.

so how, and when did THAT ever become a legit "excuse" for not getting back to someone?????
