22 yrs ago, almost but not quite to the day, on 10/23/91 i went into the studio to play bass for my late friend Curly Joe Harper on his "Urban Scuffle" album.

he was a real good harp player, great front man, pretty good singer, and serious career drinker. he could be a jerk after a few but he was a good guy and i miss him.

he passed a little over a yr ago after a long, well fought bout w the big c.

i remember this to have been a real fun recording done over two days. we worked up "arrangements" in the studio and tracked everything live except some vcls.

i used to play w the drummer in another band so we had a real good hookup. i remember he and i were both listening to a lot of Tower Of Power at the time......so i'm doing a bad Rocco Prestia imitation on a few tunes like "Love Pain"! LOL
