Break something!

As of late I'd be lucky to get the guys together for my funeral.
Quite depressing.
Have some shows booked, but really need to get some new music recorded. ( and another video )

An acquaintance on the East Coast, with an online magazine and blog circulation in the millions wants to do a feature article and help to promote our music via links.

And I can't seem to get my band all in the same room?

Makes me want to curse. :?

We are flying in our bassist from Toledo tonight and have a Halloween Gig tomorrow night at a little hole in the wall called Whiteys, it turns out we have 3 birthday celebrations from old time fans, so Im sure we will have a great crowd from that alone.

The last time we played there, they had to turn people away at the door, and most hung around outside. Of course being a Tipton Cty gig there was a big fight between a guy and his wife, he knocked her out and was arrested and she took a trip to the hospital. We were playing so I didnt have any clue other than the place cleared out for a bit and then they came back in.

Im working my fall job all weekend too, so I wont be able to party too hard, but I dont have to entertain a wife or GF this weekend, so I guess I can shake my ass and cut up.

Everybody Rock Out, Im gonna drop to D and play Outshined at midnite!

Thats a good pic. Mark, jazzers have all the fun!

John thats cool Ain't Yo Mama is playing again! I remember you posting this a couple of months ago. I hope ya'll have a good gig! We are only playing 2 or 3 gigs a month. I played in 2 bands earlier this year but I am enjoying not playing that much right now so I went back to playing with Mission Imposter. That leaves more time for drankin. A man has to have his priorities straight LOL!

not sure if we have ALL the fun but it's such a joy playing with these guys and going "exploring" on every tune. the conversational and spontaneous part of it is what has us smiling like fools and chuckling left and right at goofy quotes or taking a tune we've played hundreds of times down some new alley.

Nothing in the near future, but we played our first one last weekend. Other (rhythm) guitar player's family has a yearly weenie roast, so we played to see how it went, do a little playing for an audience again, see what needs to be worked out...about 30 people there.

Went fairly well except that we all 3 (no drummer) were cold, fingers stiff and that resulted in a few mistakes, otherwise had a good time and sounded pretty good.

Just got a text either today or yesterday evening, saying it's time to do a photo shoot and get a demo recorded so we can start booking...

So nothing right now, but it looks like pretty soon.

So . . . the photo from Cooper's Oak Winery.

Is the ceiling of old original copper press, or is it a new building with the fiberglass reconstruction.

Love old buildings. If I had the jack, I'd go about restoring them to their previous glory.

No music gigs for me this weekend. Last week was sports cars and backyard blues in the desert. This weekend it's just sports cars but a whole bunch of em. A big event at Pomona Fairplex (LA county fair grounds).

George, on Thursday I toured the Gamble House in Pasadena with friends. Extraordinary architecture and craftsmanship that has stood the test of time. The inside reminded me of the quality and detail of the great ocean liners of that era (1906).

Have good gigs gentlemen! 8)

george, it's the real deal. the bldg is an old theatre/opera house from 1854. it's owned by this lady who exhibits her art (all done w beer bottlecaps!) throughout the place. very, very cool and creative 3D stuff.

got a cpl of gigs there in Nov. if i remember i'll take and post some pics.

johnny, the sports car deal sounds like fun...sadly, that's a long ride in my old jag, otherwise i'd be there!

Hell I forgot my camera and video recorder last night for our gig, but it was awesome.

We havent played as a unit together in about 6 monthes and honestly I think we sounded just as good as we ever do.

We are hoping to get our bassit back down in maybe Dec-Jan, and then again in May, so I guess the Aint Yo Mama saga will continue.
