Thanks Jimmy, I grew up listening to Mountain. He is the man around here. The guys I went to high school with still like him. We were learning his songs in the 70's. I did not know he has been so effected by diabetes. It is a lifestyle you learn to live with. I never thought in a million years it was something I would have to deal with when I became an old fart!

After a corporate conference call with too many "Mikes" (I made some decisions for a QA manager - he asked me not to do it again) I chose a new name: Felix.

I pulled it out of the air but then thought about Felix in "Vampire$" and Felix Papalardi of Mountain and realized I'd chosen wisely.

Or Felix the Cat. You are a pretty cool cat Mike!

Yeah I dug Mountain from the first time I heard them. I bought "Climbing" in 1971 and have done many of their tunes over the years. We still do "Mississippi Queen".

Mountain was the first rock concert I ever saw! Racquet Ball Club at the Sheraton in Hyannis (Cape Cod), summer of 71. They had a wall of amps behind them and were LOUD! 8)

I never really listened to Mountain before .... but the other day " Nantucket Sleigh Ride " ( ? ) came on .... and there was that riff that I thought Warren Haynes made up ....A tip of the hat to Leslie West .... probably a fav guitar player of Warrens .....
You guys talking about shows in '71 make me feel young and I'm 45 !
