Hey! What's up in Britain and Ireland?

Personally, I like the originality of brit-pop, punk, and almost every other blues-based form of music coming westward across the big pond.
So please take this as an invitation to tell us who/what/when/where/why about the music scene there.
Who's the hot bands now? What are the favorites there? Anyone doing blues-based rock coming up? What are the main venues (besides rented facilities for concerts)?
Just curious about the trends there.....thanks in advance.
