Letter in the mail yesterday: send my songs into this place in North Hollywood and they will include my song(s) on a 'professionally recorded' CD. All sorts of name-dropping.
Of course, this is a scam. A google finds these people have been doing this for 10+ years. They charge you $450+ per song, get some nobodies to record your song, then make you buy copies to sell yourself. vampires.

Hey, if one of those songs is called "The Chains", it's probably not a scam! (LOL)

Hey man, for $200 I'll record it, and get you 25 CDs with just the one song (or fill it with my own - your choice), you can sell them at $10 each and make a $50 profit!

From what I read, they target people who have entered new copyrights for songs with the US Copyright office, I assume that those lists are available to anyone who looks for them.
