That's ok, had a nice campfire in the firepit last night, with a couple of cold (Vermont) Otter Creek Copper Ales, and today's it's fair food at the (New Hampshire) Hopkinton State Fair!

No BBQ here, finally got a burn ban about a week ago, can't even think about firing up the smoker. No rain in sight so it's here for a while. So I'll be staying inside a lot since it looks like temps will be hovering around the 3 digit mark. I go out in the Am to take some pictures and get online at neighbor's house, after about noon I'm a hermit...only rain we've had was about .1 inch 3 or 4 days ago.

Also nobody here, my sister is going to Florida where her boyfriend is, working on a house there (and getting rained on daily) so I'll probably fix up some country munchies and go to band practice. Just made up some jelly too, Mayhaw, Muscadine and Crabapple so I might just make up some biscuits and try some of it out. (separate batches not all at once)

Who knows...all I can say for sure is band practice Sunday...

Enjoy your weekend gentlemen! Texas BBQ is the best in the land and I will miss that. We do have your Houston 90/90 weather though, thanks for sharing Jeff. We are having a small BBQ here with Ribeye tonight, Pacific halibut tomorrow, and Monday menu is unknown. I got invited to a "Hoot" on Sunday and may need to go sing a few acoustic tunes.

The Briskets turned out amazing. My wife said it was the best yet. I cooked them for tonight! It takes 10 to 12 hours for the entire process. I use a combination of hickory and mesquite wood for smoke. We ate half of the small one last night. My son is coming over again tonight and we will eat drink and be merry! I had 4 of my sons over last night only missing one son that lives in College Station and a daughter that lives in Roundrock. I went to visit her and my grandson on his 2cd birthday this past August 11th!

Enjoy . . . I'm beat like a hillbilly dog.
Too much grand kids, or possibly dehydration from yesterday's show.
Just, tiered.

Holiday weekends in Vegas are scary... Everyone makes their road trips in from LA and Phoenix and parties like the world is about to end. Hah, I guess that's the punishment for living here.
Texas BBQ? Damn that sounds good :D

I like Jack Daniels BBQ sauce on mine! It is so tender it can be cut easily with a plastic fork!

Haley I just saw this, man that was some good looking meat.

Lets see my weekend, went to FayetteVille Ark, with a female friend, who lives there, we went friday night to see the NWA Naturals play baseball, then sat went to see the Razorbacks play, had an awesome time at a tailgate party, Jello Shots, man o man, and was it hot.

Sunday we chilled out and I cooked on her grill a couple of stuffed portabello mushrooms and brauts, then later in the day we fixed some chicken Ka Bobs, some Filet Mignons, corn on the cob, bascially enough food for everyone on here. Plus I took a guitar and we composed a song called the Hog Fever about going to the ball game, sounded way better under the influence of home made margaritas than it sounds today, but hell thats ok she was having fun and so was I.

Headed home yesterday went by GC but I didnt stop cause I just know I would have bought that damn EVH guitar.

2 weeks from now, we are going to chicago to watch the Nascar race, plus I got word that my band Aint Yo Mama may be doing a Halloween gig in my area, very cool.

So things are going real good in my world these days, had a great labor day weekend, really fresh for the week.

Gotta get back focused on some music now

Save that material, JW.

You just dice and slice it later, you'll get something out of it even if it isn't the exact way you originally wrote it..

Capt you would have been proud I was running around with a red wig and all sorts of stuff, the funniest thing that happened, we were walking to the game and this guy had one of those jacked up 4wd in red with hogs all over it, so I said whos truck is this, This guy named Tim says its mine, so we talk about it and i say can I get some pictures with you and your truck I even got him to wear the hog head, we were cutting up, so as we were walking away, he yells, man I hate to tell you this but thats not my truck, that dude headed to the game 30 minutes ago, I was laughing my ass off, cause if I had been him, I would have done the same damn thing.
